Boards & Committees

The “Boards & committees” tab, located inside a Company, will allow you to create and manage the corporate bodies associated to that same Company.

Once a board or committee has been created, you will be able to create Mandates associated to it.

This article will cover the following topics:

  • How to create a board/committee
  • How to manage your boards/committees

How to create a board/committee?

Go to the “Boards & committees” tab inside the chosen Company, then select the “Boards & committees” sub-tab.

Click on the “Add an instance” button (+ icon). The board/committee creation form will appear, comprised of the following fields:

  • Name
The name of the corporate body you want to create (i.e. Board of Directors). This field is a drop-down menu which will allow you to select the relevant corporate body. The available corporate bodies are customizable, and can be set-up by a portal Administrator.

     This field is mandatory.
  • Creation date
The date in which the corporate body has been formed.

     This field is mandatory.
  • End date
The date in which the corporate body will cease to exist. As of this date, the corporate body and the related mandates will be marked as “Ended”.

     This field is optional.

Once these fields have been filled, click on “Confirm” to complete the creation process. You can create as many corporate bodies as you need.

How to manage your boards/committees?

Once a board/committee has been created, you can edit it or delete it at any time.

To edit a board/committee, click on it to select it and then click on the “Edit” button at the top of the list (pencil icon). The modification form will appear, comprised of the same fields described in the last paragraph.

To delete a board/committee, click on it to select it and then click on the “Delete” button at the top of the list (trash bin icon). You won’t be able to delete a board/committees if there are mandates linked to it, so be sure to delete the mandates first.

Please note that deleted boards/committees cannot be restored.

Options

By default, the “Boards & committees” panel only shows “Ongoing” boards/committees.

You can use the “Options” button at the top of the list to include “Ended” and “Non started” boards/committees as well:

  • Click on the “Options” button at the top of the boards/committees list
  • Select the status of your choice, and untick those you do not wish to view

You can also use the quick search bar to find your boards/committees more easily.
Please note that the quick search bar will only find boards/committees visible in the list (i.e. if “Ended” boards/committees are hidden, the quick search bar won’t be able to find them).

Once you have created all the relevant boards/committees, you will be able to add mandates.
